Short term rates are available at the Terminal 1 & 2 Parking Lots and the Terminal 2 Parking Plaza. Prices start at $2.50 for 30 minutes and $6.00 for one hour, then the rates start increasing by $2.00 for every 30 minutes thereafter. If you plan to stay for more than 5 hours, then you should opt for offsite parking or the Long Term Lot.

San Diego Airport's Cell Phone Lot is free of charge and conveniently located towards the entrance of the airport on North Harbor Drive, near the Long Term Lot. However, it is not possible to park and exit your vehicle in this lot. It is only intended as a waiting point for drivers who are picking up travelers.

San Diego Airport Parking Options

There are plenty of options available when it comes to parking at SAN Airport. A number of factors may influence your decision including price, convenience, distance, and customer ratings, which his why we listed a brief summary of each parking facility below. If convenience and distance are important, then you may want to consider Curbside Valet Parking or Terminal Parking, which provide the shortest routes to airport check-in. For those seeking the cheapest parking at San Diego Airport, the Long term Lot and off-site parking facilities provide the best deals on longer stays. If price, customer service, and security are your biggest concerns, then WallyPark San Diego might be exactly what you are looking for. Your parking options for San Diego Airport include:

Long Term Lot on Harbor Drive is an official economy lot located on airport property. It is an uncovered parking lot situated 0.6 miles from Terminal 1 and 1.0 mile from Terminal 2. It takes about 12 minutes to walk to Terminal 1 and 18 minutes to walk to Terminal 2. If you do not want to walk, there is a free San Diego Airport shuttle that transports passengers to and from this lot. The shuttle provides 24-hour service to the parking lot and all airport terminals. It is unclear how often the shuttle arrives to pick up new passengers. The parking lot is open 24 hours daily, including holidays.

Terminal 1 and 2 Parking Lots are located within 5-minute walking distance to each terminal. Be sure to pay attention to the terminal you need so that you park in the corresponding lot. The parking lots are paved and uncovered, so your car will be exposed to the elements. Airport security regularly patrols this area. Terminal 1 & 2 Parking Lots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays.

Terminal 2 Parking Plaza is the newest addition to San Diego Airport’s parking options. There are 2,900 spaces with covered parking and 16 EV charging stations. The plaza is within close walking distance for passengers traveling from Terminal 2 at Lindbergh Field. The prices are the same as Terminal 1 & 2 Parking Lots, which means this parking garage is in very high demand. Terminal 2 Parking Plaza is accessible 24 hours a day, every day of the week. It is also open on public holidays.

Curbside Valet Parking is an uber-convenient service offered by the San Diego Airport. Outside of each terminal is a valet parking bay where you can leave your car with one of the valet attendants. Walk straight to check-in while your car is parked for you. When you return, text the valet when you land and your car will be waiting for you in the Valet Parking area. Please note that the San Diego Airport website does not list if your car will be parked in a covered or uncovered parking lot. Curbside Valet is the most expensive option for San Diego Airport Parking.

WallyPark San Diego Premier Garage (Self Park) has the lowest rates for parking at San Diego Airport. The best part is that you still get the same great services provided by WallyPark! The WallyPark Premier Garage is a completely covered garage. Located just 2.0 miles from the airport, the WallyPark shuttles will get you to the terminals within 7 minutes and drops off passengers at both Terminals 1 and 2. They have multiple shuttles running continuously, so a shuttle arrives every 5 minutes. The driver will help you with your bags and then bring you directly to your terminal. You have all the convenience of curbside service without the expensive rates.

WallyPark at San Diego Airport has one parking garage with two different ways to park. That is why it is listed twice here. Valet parking is the quickest way to park at the WallyPark SAN Premier Garage. You simply pull up, drop your car off, and hop on the shuttle! The shuttle drops off passengers at both Terminals 1 and 2. Your vehicle will be secure in the covered garage while you are away. When you return, your car will be waiting for you at the front of the garage so you can quickly continue home. Book with WallyPark San Diego to receive first-class services at affordable rates.
