The Economy Lot is located 1.2 miles from the terminals and it is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, with shuttles available throughout the day. Although it's further away from the terminals than the on-site parking garages, PHL Economy Parking is preferred by budget travellers because it is half the price. If you need PHL Airport long term parking, then the Economy Lot is a great solution. In the sections below, we included all the information you will need to know about Philadelphia Airport Economy Parking:

About PHL Economy Parking

The Philadelphia Airport Economy Lot is situated on 4400 Island Ave., only 5 minutes from the terminals. The entrance is located at the intersection of Island and Penrose Avenues. It is an uncovered parking lot with over 7,000 parking spaces. It is paved, well-lit, and has a gated entrance to protect your car. The parking lot is patrolled by the Philadelphia Police Department.

You cannot reserve a parking spot here, so it's best to arrive at the facility as early as you can to ensure finding a parking spot. If you run into any issues, you can ask for a battery jump-start, flat-tire service, auto lockout service, and lost vehicle locator.

Shuttle Service Information

Economy Lot PHL is served by a 24/7 shuttle service to accommodate incoming and outgoing passengers. Every 10 minutes, a shuttle picks up passengers from the parking lot and takes them to the terminals. Except between 1:00am - 3:00am, the shuttle runs every 20 minutes. The ride takes about 5 - 10 minutes.

Two bus routes serve the Economy Parking Lot. The Red Route serves Shelters 8 through 16 (parking aisles A through M). The Blue Route serves Shelters 1 through 7 (parking aisles X through Y). Make sure to check and write down your parking aisle and shuttle route information so you catch the correct shuttle on your return.

Philadelphia Airport Economy Parking Lot Rates

Although Philadelphia Airport Parking Rates are extremely expensive for the on-site Parking Garages, thankfully the Economy Lot offers much better rates.
